FREEHANDZ GUITAR SCHOOL
My guitar school is based in Selly Oak in Birmingham. It is a fully equipped studio including recording facilities so all students require when they come is their guitar. However, there are several guitars availible to use in the studio also should the need arise, and these guitars along with other equipment are also availible to purchase.
I am an RGT tutor and as such am qualified to teach all grades from preliminary right through to grade 8
Any information regarding exams etc can be found by using the link above which takes you to the RGT website. However, if you just want to learn and not do exams thats fine too, i teach all styles from absolute beginner to advanced level.
My approach to teaching is a simple one........FUN! Thats what all music should be.
The more fun you have, the quicker you learn. Therefore, you decide how you want your lessons to be. They`re your lessons after all. You tell me what things you want to learn and we take it from there. Having said that i want students to be able to play the instrument and not just be able to "copy" so there is always a small amount of theory to go through but it wont spoil the fun i can promise you that.
All my lessons are accompanied by backing tracks and tab sheets etc. so apart from being able to play along with a real band it also means that when you get home after your lesson, even if you`ve forgotten how a certain rhythm went for example, you`ve always got the backing track to remind you.
My fees are £20.00 per hour with a free introductory lesson which i use to firstly assess your ability and chat about your goals etc. and secondly to plan and construct the right lessons for you.
